The Interpretive Movement Arts Ensemble (IMAE) is an intergenerational group of Movement Artists whose Interpretive Movement techniques create a style which references both dance and gesture.
Visual arts, music, and poetry as well as site-specific phenomena and life experiences inform and inspire our work.
Through Interpretive Movement we express and share thoughts and emotions, ideas and stories.
The IMAE, founded by Lili Loveday (originally as IDEA Inc.) in the late 1980’s, presents works in public venues throughout New York and New England.
“Kinetic Reflections” is a presentation created specifically with inspiration from our relationship with water, to accompany the Lake George exhibit at Crandall Library in Autumn 2019.
