OUTDOOR MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS
Taught by Lili Loveday
Lili Loveday’s Outdoor Movement Workshops incorporate Nature as inspiration for participants’ stories and poems: movement narratives.
A local park or property is pre-designated as an appropriate site.
We explore safe movement games & activities in a peaceful setting.
Participants will use their imaginations to create storydances. Literacy skills such as expressive gesture, language, predicting and sequencing, math & science skills such as observation, counting, and categorizing, and social skills such as cooperation and taking turns are integral to this workshop.
Workshop length: 45 mins-1 hour
Single Library/School Workshop Fee: $145.00
Single workshop fee is different from ongoing workshop/class fees.
Social distances will be maintained throughout.
Masks will be worn at the request of the host organization / adults.
Workshop participants should bring the following in a labelled bag:
— insect repellent (labelled)
— sunscreen (labelled)
— water bottle (labelled)
— wear light colored, plain long leggings and a plain top (some bees love yellow!)
— wear soft-soled / water shoes, and socks if appropriate
— bring your own square, silky scarf if you have one
— bring a mask to wear – (lighter, thinner masks may be all right for outdoor use)
Weather: Outdoor workshops are held unless there is 90% or higher chance of local rain/storm at workshop time listed within 2 hours of the workshop during that same day. (Rain dates should be pre-determined.)
